The Saudi club at the Robert Morris University in the US has succeeded in introducing a two-week course on Arabic language, and Saudi scholarship students will be teaching for free.

The idea behind this is to popularize the Arabic language and culture. The efforts by the club is unique in the way that generally a scholarship program is only focused on students’ degrees.
Head of the club, Khaled Al Shamari, said the course became popular not only among foreign students but also members of the teaching and non-teaching staff who saw it as an opportunity to learn Arabic in view of the increasing number of Saudi students in the US.
The university has appreciated the club’s move, saying that it will be a matter of pride for the institution if the course is continued.
